In brief: Calm Reset does not require an account. Journal entries, saved cards, favorites, and preferences are designed to remain on your device. We use Apple and RevenueCat to process and validate subscriptions. We do not sell personal data, use advertising trackers, or read your journal content.
1. Who we are
Calm Reset is operated by I.Fargutu, an individual developer trading as Calm Reset (referred to as “Calm Reset,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Data controller: I.Fargutu
Privacy and support email: support@calmreset.app
2. Scope
This Policy applies to the Calm Reset iOS app, our support communications, and our public website pages. It does not govern Apple’s App Store or third-party websites and services that have their own privacy policies.
3. Information handled by Calm Reset
Information stored locally on your device
Depending on the features you use, the app may store the following directly on your device:
- journal entries and reflections;
- saved Calm Cards, Daily Lights, favorites, and completed activities;
- sound mixes, playback preferences, notification choices, and other app settings;
- local progress information used to display your Calm Wall or constellation.
We do not receive or read this local content through our own servers. Deleting the app may delete locally stored content unless your device or operating system separately backs it up.
Subscription and purchase information
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card or bank details. To provide Premium access, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, product and entitlement information, purchase and renewal history, transaction status, storefront/country information, and related receipt data needed to validate purchases, prevent fraud, restore access, and provide subscription analytics.
Calm Reset is currently designed to use RevenueCat-generated anonymous identifiers rather than an account, email address, or advertising identifier. A purchase may still be associated with your App Store transaction and an anonymous RevenueCat customer record.
Support communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, device/app version details, and purchase information needed to investigate a subscription issue.
Website technical logs
When you visit calmreset.app, our hosting server may automatically record limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, and security events. These logs are used to operate and secure the website. The public legal and support pages do not intentionally use advertising cookies or analytics scripts.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, iOS asks for notification permission. Calm Reset’s current reminders are intended to be scheduled locally on your device. We do not use notification permission to access your contacts, messages, or unrelated device content.
4. Purposes and legal bases

5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may disclose limited information to:
- Apple: to process App Store purchases, manage subscriptions, distribute the app, and provide platform services. Apple acts under its own terms and privacy policy.
- RevenueCat: to validate receipts, manage subscription entitlements, prevent purchase fraud, restore purchases, and provide subscription reporting. RevenueCat acts as a service provider/processor for relevant customer data.
- Hosting and email providers: to host calmreset.app and receive support messages.
- Authorities or professional advisers: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or establish or defend legal claims.
RevenueCat’s privacy information is available at revenuecat.com/privacy. Apple’s privacy information is available at apple.com/legal/privacy.
6. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on legally recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, and service-provider contractual protections, as applicable.
7. Retention
- On-device content: remains until you delete it in the app, reset the app, or remove the app/device data.
- RevenueCat subscription records: retained as needed to provide entitlements, maintain transaction history, prevent fraud, comply with law, and support deletion requests.
- Support correspondence: normally retained for up to 24 months after the issue is closed, unless a longer period is required for a dispute or legal obligation.
- Website access/security logs: normally retained for up to 30 days, unless needed longer to investigate abuse or a security incident.
8. Your choices and rights
You can manage notification permission in iOS Settings, remove saved content within the app where controls are available, and manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection concerning personal data we control. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
To make a request, email support@calmreset.app with “Privacy Request” in the subject. We may need limited information to verify the request and locate the relevant anonymous subscription record. We normally respond within one month where GDPR applies, subject to permitted extensions.
9. GDPR information for the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
For users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, I.Fargutu is the controller for personal data described in this Policy, while certain providers process data on our behalf or act as independent controllers for their own services.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in the country where you live or work, or where you believe an infringement occurred. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
10. United States privacy disclosures
We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Calm Reset does not currently use third-party advertising SDKs or tracking technologies. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures before or when the change takes effect.
11. Children
Calm Reset is a general wellness app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request names, email addresses, or account information from children through the app. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us through support or another channel, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your device with a passcode if your journal or reflections contain private information.
13. Medical and sensitive information
Calm Reset is intended for relaxation and general self-care, not diagnosis, treatment, crisis intervention, or emergency services. Avoid including highly sensitive medical or identifying information in support messages. Journal content is intended to remain on your device.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the app, service providers, or law. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
15. Contact
